What is Pico Laser and How does it work?

The PICO Laser is a non-invasive and non-surgical laser skin therapy that is completely safe to use on various body parts, including the underarms and intimate regions. This new generation laser produces ultra-short laser pulses in picoseconds.

This technique is the opposite of the typical Q-switched lasers that produce laser pulses in nanoseconds. PICO Laser pulses are 100 times shorter than Q-switched laser pulses, but it sends more laser shots into the dermis simultaneously.

Most cosmetic lasers function in the same way. The device sends energy waves deep into the skin to stimulate healing and collagen formation.

What makes Pico Laser different?

It can break down skin pigmentation by using high energy rather than heat.

When will I see results?

Most of our patients see an improvement in their skin after the first session. However maintenance sessions are recommended for the longevity of results. Do note that individual results vary.

Is the treatment painful?

You will feel a warming sensation and a light prickling feeling on your skin. Numbing cream may be applied to ensure maximum comfort for our patients.

How many sessions are needed to see results?

Our certified Doctors at cove will access your condition and advise accordingly. The number of sessions required will largely depend on the characteristic of your skin.

What is the treatment interval like?

We recommend sessions to be one month apart.

Is there any downtime?

There is minimal to no downtime for Pico Laser. You may see some mild redness for a few hours after your treatment.
