How does Deep Pore Laser work?

For Deep Pore Laser Treatment, a Q-Switched Laser is used after applying a thin coating of carbon to the skin’s surface. The laser energy is drawn to the carbon’s black color, and the carbon particles absorb pollutants and excess oils on the skin. It strengthens the skin structure and cleans the enlarged pores.

Then the laser energy blows carbon apart, and the bursting carbon particles clean pores of dead skin and the inside wall of skin pores. During the entire procedure, the simultaneous production of heat energy promotes the synthesis of new collagen. It also maintains a healthy-looking complexion on your face.

When will I see results?

Individual results vary. Although noticeable results can be seen after 1 session, we recommend getting multiple treatments to see effective and long lasting results. The number of sessions needed also depends on the characteristics of your skin.

Is the treatment painful?

You will feel a warm sensation and light prickling feel on the skin. Numbing cream will be applied prior to the treatment for patient’s maximum comfort.

How many sessions are needed to see results?

This depends on individual condition and will be discussed with you during consultation with our doctor.

Any post-treatment care?

DO:

Cleanse 2-3 times a day with a gentle cleanser and moisturizer (This is to reduce itch and aids in the process of healing)
Cold hydrating sheet masks (To calm and soothe irritated skin)
Use a sunscreen with high SPF – Use of hyaluronic acid serums (To hydrate and reduce dryness)

AVOID:

Exercise and excessive sweating
Alcohol and smoking
Make up for 24 hours to allow skin healing
Skincare with active ingredients for 2-5 days depending on intensity of treatment (eg. retinol, AHA/BHA, Vitamin C)
Scratching or picking on scabs (to prevent any infection)

Is there any downtime?

There is little to no downtime although you will be able to see slight redness after the treatment which will fade in a few hours. You may resume your usual activities after the treatment.
